Press on nails · hand painted

Hand painted press on nails, in your favourite colour.

Every set is painted one nail at a time — characters, tiny scenes, glitter, whatever you have in mind — then sized to your own nails so it fits like it grew there. No salon appointment, no drying time, no damage.

The sets

Four ways people usually order

These are starting points, not a fixed menu. Most sets begin as one of these and then get changed — a different colour, a different character, shorter, longer, matte instead of gloss. Tell me what you want and we build it from there.

Colourful hand painted nail art detail

Character sets

The ones people stop you in the street for. Hand painted characters across the set — a different one on each nail, or one big scene spread over all ten. Cartoons, film characters, mascots, pets. Send me a picture of what you love and I'll tell you honestly what works at nail scale.

Your colour, done properly

You name the colour — a shade you wear constantly, a colour from a photo, the exact one on a jumper you own. I mix and match it across the set: solid on some nails, a little line work or a single tiny motif on others. Quiet enough for work, still yours.

Occasion sets

Birthdays, graduations, weddings, a big night out, matching sets for a group. Painted to the colours of the day, with names or dates worked in if you want them. Because they're press ons, everyone can put theirs on the morning of and nobody sits in a salon chair for two hours.

Everyday short sets

Short, rounded, sturdy. A clean base with one small hand painted detail — a dot, a stripe, a tiny flower — for people who want their nails done without answering questions about them at work. The set most people reorder.

Your favourite colour

Tell me the colour. I'll build the set around it.

This is how most orders start, and it's the part I enjoy most. You don't need the name of a shade or a brand — a photo of a wall, a flower, a jumper, a screenshot is enough. I'll match it as closely as paint allows and send you a photo of the colour on a nail before I paint the rest.

From there we decide the shape and length, how much art you want on top, and whether it finishes glossy or matte. If you're torn between two colours, say so — I'll paint one nail in each and you pick.

  • Send a photo, a screenshot, or just describe it
  • Colour confirmed on a real nail before the full set
  • Gloss or matte finish, your call

How it works

From your message to your nails

A press on set only looks right if it's the right size, so the sizing step matters more than people expect. Here's the whole process, start to finish.

  1. You send the idea

A colour, a character, a photo, or a screenshot of a set you saw. Tell me roughly how long you want them and whether you want art on every nail or just a few.

  2. We agree the design

I come back with what I'd paint, what it costs and how long it takes. Nothing is painted until you're happy with the plan — changes at this stage are free.

  3. You size your nails

I send you a simple way to measure each nail across its widest point, or you send a photo of your bare nails next to a coin. This is what makes the set fit instead of sit on top.

  4. I paint and send them

Painted by hand over several sittings, then sealed. They arrive with adhesive tabs, glue and a short card explaining how to put them on and take them off without damage.

Wearing them

Ten minutes on, no drying, no damage

Press ons get a bad reputation from the drugstore kind that pop off in a day. Sized properly and applied to clean nails, a hand painted set sits flat and stays put — and because nothing is filed or buffed into your own nail, taking them off leaves your nails exactly as they were.

Use the adhesive tabs for a day or a weekend and swap sets as often as you like. Use the glue when you want them on for a week or two. Both come in the box.

Reusable

Lift them off gently, clean the back, and the set can go back on another time. Most people get several wears out of one set.

No salon time

No appointment, no lamp, no sitting still for an hour. Put them on at home, ten minutes before you leave.

Kind to your nails

Nothing is drilled, filed down or soaked off. Your natural nails stay underneath, untouched.

Questions

Things people ask before ordering

How long does a custom set take?

Hand painted sets take [turnaround time, e.g. 1–2 weeks] from the day we agree the design, because the paint needs to dry and be sealed between layers. If you need them for a specific date, say so at the start and I'll tell you honestly whether it's possible.

What if they don't fit?

Send me your measurements again and I'll repaint the nails that are off. Sizing is the one thing I can't guess, so if you're unsure, send a photo of your bare nails next to a coin and I'll read the sizes for you.

Can you copy a set I saw online?

I can paint in the same spirit — the colours, the mood, the kind of art. I won't copy another artist's design nail for nail, and I'll always tell you if I think something won't read well at nail size.

Do you paint characters from films and games?

Yes, that's most of what I do. Send a reference and I'll tell you what's realistic at that scale — a full figure on a small nail loses detail, so sometimes a face or a symbol works better than a whole scene.

How much does a set cost?

It depends on length and how much hand painting is involved. Sets start at [starting price] and I'll always give you the full price before I start painting.

Do you post them?
